The 2025 Amundi Evian Championship tees off today in Évian-les-Bains, France, and LPGA sophomore Savannah Grewal showed us a glimpse of how the major championship will fare. Having played the tournament last year, Grewal is no stranger to the course. She took on a virtual round at Evian Resort Golf Club. Take a look at how she played by watching the full round here.
“Evian is always a fun challenge. To be able to play it on a simulator was really cool.”
Backed by years of engineering focused on realism, the simulator gave Grewal a strikingly authentic way to play Evian indoors. This was her first time stepping onto a GOLFZON simulator. When asked about her first impression of the GOLFZON TwoVision indoor golf simulator, Grewal says,
“I think this is probably as close to real golf as you can get indoors on a simulator. The different components that make it feel realistic were really cool.”
“You pretty much never get a flat lie at Evian. It was cool to have that simulation here. The different types of sand, rough, and having that slope added to that realistic experience.”
The Amundi Evian Championship is one of five LPGA majors and one of the most scenic—and demanding—events on the calendar. Located in the French Alps overlooking Lake Geneva, the course is known for its elevation changes, tight landing areas, and fast greens. There's a reason it's a major championship venue. For players with limited experience on the course, a virtual preview can be a major advantage.
